Spellbinders – May Small Die of the Month

Hi Crafty Friends! I am super excited to be back with you today to share the new Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders! This month’s small die is called the Arched A2 & Slimline Card Creator! I am also using the May Stamp of the month – Borders and Sentiments. I had a lot of fun with these beautiful club sets this month! So let’s get started!

For today’s card I started by working with Neenah card stock. I placed each of the dies within this set on my card stock and used washi tape to adhere them to the card stock prior to running them through my Spellbinders Platinum machine. When I run a few dies through at a time I use washi tape to ensure things do not shift while running them through the machine. I ran them through 1 time on white card stock, then a second time on gold card stock. I then adhered the white die cuts on top of the gold. I love the small specks of gold peeking through! I then glued these down onto an A2 card base. I knew I wanted to add flowers, so I wanted to see the main card layer complete to determine floral placement!

Next it was time begin die cutting my florals. The floral images in today’s card are from the April 2021 large Die of the Month! I die cut several of the floral images and the leaves using card stock from Spellbinders. I have the assorted card stock paper pack! I love the variety of colors within this pack and the paper is amazing! Once the florals and leaves were die cut I started to plan my card front design. I then used liquid glue and foam tape to adhere the flowers and leaves. I then added some Nuvo drops to the center of the flowers for a bit of interest and dimension.

To complete my card I chose a sentiment from the May Stamp of the month. I heat embossed this using gold embossing powder. I then adhered this using foam tape. I had so much fun with this gorgeous die set! This set is so elegant and beautiful, it truly was a quick card to put together! The die set did all the work for me! I truly love this set and can’t wait to bring it back! More inspiration will be coming your way!
