Hey Crafty friends! I am super excited to join Simon Says Stamp today to celebrate their new release – In My Heart! Today is day 2 of the Blog Hop, so be sure to stop in to see all the AMAZING inspiration, as well as check out the amazing hop from Day 1! I am sharing all the blog hop details and information below! So let’s get started!

For today’s project I am sharing a small note card size project! I am featuring 3 items from the new release and wanted to showcase the AMAZING new XL EZ strip banner dies, as well as the Reverse Friendship XL EZ sentiment sheets! These items pair perfectly together and allow you to die cut one sheet of sentiments at a time, truly so easy! There are several new XL EZ dies, so be sure to check them out! I am also featuring the Nature in Bloom background stamp! So let’s get started!

I started my project with a background from my stash. The background was created using Lindy’s Magicals. I prepped the background with my embossing tool, then stamped the background using embossing ink. I then added white embossing powder. Before heat setting I removed some of the white embossing powder as I wanted some areas to not have the text background. I then heat set the powder. Next I ran the background through my sewing machine to add some stitching for added interest and texture.

Next I ran the Reverse Friendship XL EZ sentiments with the XL Strips Banner die through my die cutting machine! I also die cut the Etched Floral Buds from white card stock and the Vault edges using black card stock. I then adhered all the layers together, placing pieces of dry wall tape behind my floral die cut, as well as the sentiment.

To complete my project I added splatters, as well as gems. I had a lot of fun creating this project and had a lot of fun! Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a Heart – Simon Says Stamp Monday Blog

Hello Crafty friends I am super excited to be back today joining the team over at Simon Says Stamp for their Monday Challenge! This week the theme is Have a Heart! I had a lot of fun this week and I can’t wait to see all the AMAZING makes! Thank you to Simon Says Stamp for having me as a guest this month!

I started with 2 playing cards to create these heart ATC’s. I began by adding torn book pages, dry wall tape, and gesso to the the cards. Once these layers were dry, I added acrylic paint from my stash. I applied the paint with a paintbrush, as well as a brayer.

Next I die cut 6 hearts using the Basic Hearts die set. I then applied embossing ink to each heart and added Golden Bloom embossing powder to each heart. I then heat set these with my heat tool. I then applied Luster Wax in Gold from Sizzix using my finger to each heart randomly. Next I added washi tape to each ATC and additional layers of watered down gouche paint.

I completed each ATC by adding white and black splatters, as well as a sentiment from Small Talk sticker book. I hope these inspire you to have fun and create a handmade ATC for someone special!

Things with Wings – Simon Says Stamp Monday Blog

Hello Crafty friends I am super excited to be back today joining the team over at Simon Says Stamp for their Monday Challenge! This week the theme is Things with Wings! I had a lot of fun this week and I can’t wait to see all the AMAZING makes! Last week I shared with you that you will see another half of the panel I created. I used this as my base layer for my project. You can see all the details for the background on last week’s post if you are interested. Here is a link to the blog post. Let’s get started!

I started by trimming my panel from last week as my base layer. Next I die cut the Whirl Butterflies on black cardstock. Once they were cut, I added embossing ink, as well as Gilded Patina embossing powder from Seth Apter and Wow. I love all the texture on the butterflies.

Once they were die cut, I added texture under the butterflies using old book pages, as well as cheese cloth. I then adhered the layers down and added foam tape under the butterflies. I added a few additional die cuts from my extras stash to the panel. I then added a sentiment from Small Talk, as well as white splatters for additional texture.
