Simon Says Stamp – Season of Wonder | Blog Hop Day 2

Hello Crafty Friends! I am super excited to join Simon Says Stamp today to celebrate the beautiful new Season of Wonder release! Today I am joining Simon Says Stamp for Day 2 of their blog hop!!! Today I am sharing the beautiful new Willow Snowflake Die cut! I love this large snowflake and had a lot of fun creating today’s card! I started by die cutting the large snowflake 3 times using Neenah Card stock. I adhered all 3 layers together, then embossed the snowflake using: Antique Gold and Weathered Gold Embossing Powder. I set the snowflake aside to work on the card panel background.

For the card panel I chose a colorful gelli print from my stash and dry embossed the panel using the Margot Tile Embossing Folder. Once the panel was embossed I added texture to the panel using a combination of distress crayons and inks. I started by using the Morning Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pad. I applied the ink directly to the embossing folder and ran the panel through my die cutting machine a 2nd time. I applied the ink randomly inside the folder to create more texture.

Next I applied distress crayons to the raised areas of the Margot Tile embossed panel. I applied the color in various sections directly to the paper, spritzed water on my glass mat, and moved the color around with my finger. I then trimmed the panel for my A2 card front. I then chose a piece of pattern paper for the side of my card and distressed the paper using my distress inks.

To complete my card I adhered the pattern paper strip and the embossed panel onto an A2 card base. I then adhered the snowflake and chose a sentiment from the Reverse From Me Christmas set. I adhered the sentiment using foam tape. This completes my card and I hope you enjoyed this!
