Sending Love – Mixed Media Valentine

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope all is well! I am stopping in to share a mixed media style Valentine! Lots of color, texture, and sparkle! So let’s get started!

I started by choosing a pre-made background from my stash! The colors in my background inspired my card! Once I had the background selected, I started to die cut the hearts! I am suing the Banner Heart Layering die set from Birch Press Design. I die cut all 3 layers using red, pink, and white card stock. I die cut the middle layer B 2 times for added dimension. Once all 3 layers were die cut I added a bit of ink using a finger dauber to the bottom 2 layers for added dimension. I then glued Layer C and B together.

Next I heat embossed layer A. For the 2 hearts I used a different color card stock for layer A. I liked how the different color added a different look to the powder – how fun is that! On layer A I used Poppin Pink Embossing Powder. Once heat set I adhered Layer A using liquid glue. I then set the hearts aside.

Next I trimmed the background card panel and adhered this to an A2 card base. I then used the small strip of the card panel and adhered this to the left side. I liked the added texture and dimension this provided. I then adhered the 2 hearts to the card front using liquid glue and foam adhesive.

To complete my card I chose the You Are Loved Noted Script sentiment. This is a hot foil and die plate set. Once foiled I added this to my card front using liquid and foam adhesive.
