November My Monthly Hero Release | Hero Arts

Hello Crafty friends, I am so excited to join Hero Arts this month as a Guest Designer for their release of the November Hero Arts 2023 My Monthly Hero Kit and add-on release! This month’s release is amazing and it is all about joy and holiday cheer. It is perfect for your holiday cards and creating envelopes too! I am excited to be hopping this month, you will find all the details for the hop listed below. So let’s get started!

For today’s card I started with the Mail Art clear stamp set. I stamped the images and sentiment using Versfine Clair Ink in Nocturne. Prior to stamping I prepped the paper with my anti static tool. I then heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder. I then taped the images down onto a hard board to prep them for watercolor. I water colored the images using my Zig Clean and Color Brush markers. When I watercolor I work in layers and allow each layer to dry between coloring. Once everything was dry, I die cut all the images using the dies included in the kit.

Once everything was die cut I used 2 colors of Hero Arts Core Inks to darken the edges: Espresso and Caramel. I set them aside to work on my background. Next I used a piece of white cardstock and the Layering Snowflakes Stencil from the premium kit. I used a combination of inks to prepare the background. The snowflake stencil is perfect for backgrounds, envelopes, and tags too!!!! I also stenciled an envelope while I had the stencil out.

Once the background was stenciled I trimmed the background with my deckle trimmer and then distressed the edges of the card panel. I then added the Unicorn Laquer Pen to areas of each of the snowflakes. I love this pen and the added texture this provides. Once everything was dry, I added Hero Arts White Acrylic Spray. I added some of the spray to a block, added a bit of water, then added splatter to my card panel.

I completed my card by adhering the panel to the card base, then adhered all of the die cut elements to the card front using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I had so much fun using this month’s kit! It is so amazing!!!!! It is perfect for holiday card making, as well as creating envelopes!!!! I also added a wax seal to my envelope using the Wax Seals Stamp & Cut set! This is so awesome and such a fun add on this month!!!!!
