Hello Crafty friends! I am super excited to join Hero Arts today for the Countdown to the March 2024 My Monthly Hero kit (and add-on products)! We are celebrating this weekend with a three day countdown sharing beautiful inspiration all weekend using the Classic and Premium Kits before the release on Monday March 4. For today’s project I am sharing inspiration using the Classic Kit! It’s such an awesome kit, I can’t wait for you to see everything! Let’s get started!
I started with a piece of Arctic Cardstock, I die cut a piece using the Hero Arts Tag Infinity Dies. I then ink blended the tag using Core Inks in: Mist, Paradise, and Bermuda Ink. Next I stamped images from the kit onto the tag base, as well as onto Arctic cardstock. I used several core inks for all the stamping of the mountains, water, sun, boat, leaves, as well as the bird.
Core Inks Used:
- Tag images: Deep Ocean, Periwinkle, and Nautical
- Sun: Spicy Mustard, Cherry
- Edges of Tag: Caramel, Espresso
- Leaves: Moss, Forever Green
Once everything was stamped, I die cut several of the images using the coordinating dies included in the kit with the Hero Arts Compact Cutter. On the die cut images, I die cut additional layers using Dove White Cardstock. I adhered all the layers together using Precision Glue. I love the look of the additional cardstock layers for stamped images, as this gives the project dimension. Once everything was die cut, I added Espresso ink for a distressed look. I then adhered the images using Precision glue.
I completed the tag with a sentiment from the Kit, also layered with cardstock for added dimension. The image was stamped using Pitch Black Ink and distressed with Espresso Ink. I added a few splatters using White Metallic Glimmer Ink and added a twine to the top. I adding distressing to the edges using Espresso and Caramel ink, as well as White Hero Wax.

Your tag is fantastic! I am pretty new to all this and am curious about the Hero Wax. You said you used it to add distressing. Is that what I am seeing on the top right of the tag? Very cool effect. 🙂
Thank you so much! Yes I applied Core Ink to the edges and then to a couple sections I added the Hero Wax in White. You will love it!
