Holiday Haul – Small Die of the Month: Spellbinders

Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to be back with you today to share the adorable new Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders: Holiday Haul! I love this new set this month – it is adorable and such a versatile set for all year long! I paired this with the October Clear Stamp of the Month – Sending You! Be sure to check out both of these clubs this month! I know you will love them! So let’s get started!

I started by die cutting my elements from the small die using colored card stock. I used 2 paper pads from Scrapbook.com – Floral and Sherbert. I knew I wanted to create a teal truck and added colors to coordinate with my truck color. I also die cut a truck using holographic card stock to add details to my truck. This die set truly has such amazing details! Once all the elements of my truck, present, and Christmas tree were die cut I set these aside to work on adding a few more details to my die cut pieces before adhering together.

I started by adding some embossing powder to the ribbons on the present. I die cut the square present using pattern paper and then the bow out of pink card stock. I then added some sparkle to the present using Candy Floss Embossing Powder. I then adhered the gift together. I wanted to distress the wood on the back of the truck. I used 2 colors of distress ink: Walnut Stain and Black Soot. I used my blending tools to add color and more depth to the wood of the truck bed. Next I adhered the truck and all the details together using liquid glue. I added the ornaments to the tree, as well as the wood frame on the truck. I set my truck aside.

I wanted to create a bit of texture behind my truck. I used the Plaid Company Embossing Folder. I placed a piece of Neenah card stock inside and ran this through my platinum machine. Next I die cut a piece of Kraft Card stock using the Essential Rectangle die set. I then adhered the kraft onto an A2 card base. I used the Large die of the Month from April 2021 to create the scallop border on the white embossed panel. Then I glued this to my kraft base. I then adhered the truck and the elements to the front of the card. I then used the clear stamp of the month to stamp the greeting and sub sentiment. I fussy cut the word Sending using scissors and then adhered this with foam tape.
