Happy Birthday – Unity Stamp Company

Hi Crafty friends! I hope you are doing well and your week is off to a good start! I wanted to stop in to share with you a gorgeous new release over at Unity Stamp Company! For my first card I am sharing the beautiful new Floral and Buds stamp set. I am loving this large floral set and it is a dream to color! I can’t wait to emboss and watercolor this image next! There are many beautiful card ideas for this set over on Unity’s website as well – I encourage you to check them out! I started by stamping my image on Neenah card stock. I knew I wanted to create a bold colored flower with my alcohol markers! I am enjoying practicing with my markers and these large flower petals were perfect for that! On today’s card I used my Ohuhu alcohol markers. I worked from darkest to lightest on each section of the floral. I added more depth to the shadow areas using a green marker and then blending out with the reds. I like the added depth this achieved. I added further details using my Prisma colored pencils.

When my coloring was complete I trimmed the panel using a double stitched die from Gina Marie Designs. I then off set the card panel on my card base. I lined the background using a strip of black card stock and an embossed gold strip – using WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I completed the card by heat embossing a sentiment from the sentiment kit – Aging Gorgeously.

I created a second card using the beautiful Slimline Feather. I stamped the image onto Neenah card stock. For this card I also used my Ohohu Alcohol markers. Once my coloring was complete I used 2 slimline die sets to trim the card panel from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped and cut out the sentiment from the Heart of Autumn Sentiment kit. To complete the card I added some Gold Perfect Pearls and metallic splatters!
