Good Luck Charm: New Release – Simon Says Stamp

Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to back and share an AWESOME new release from Simon Says Stamp: Good Luck Charm (click here). There are amazing new products, new ink colors, stamps, stencils, dies, and more! So let’s get started!

For my first card I am using the new Wavy Circles Background stamp! I love background stamps, I love how versatile they are and you can create with them in so many ways! Today I am sharing how I used this stamp to add texture to my gelli print! This card was super fun and easy to put together! I started with a gelli print from my stash! Next I applied ink to the background stamp and then stamped the image in various spots along the print. I used my hands to stamp the image, as I did not want a “perfect” stamped image. I felt this added to the texture and rustic feel I was going for.

Next I tore the edges of the print. I did this to all 4 edges. On 3 of the edges I used my bone folder on the back of the print so I would have more of a “clean” rip, then on the 4th side I tore the print without the bone folder for added texture. I then set this panel aside.

Next I die cut the Delicate Leafy Branch several times using Canson Mixed Paper. I then added sparkle and shine to the leaves using Lindy’s Gang Starburst Sprays in Sea Grass Green. I just loved the added texture!

I still wanted to add a bit more texture to the background, so I added metallic watercolor splatters in several colors. Next I adhered the gelli print panels to my A2 card base with liquid glue. I then glued the leaves onto the panel. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive.

To complete the card I chose 2 sentiments from Simon Says Stamp (pre-made) – I love using these and they are so great to have on hand! I adhered these with foam tape and this completes my card!
