Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes – Becca Feeken: Spellbinders

Hi Crafty Friends! I am excited to stop in today to share two cards with you using a beautiful new collection from Becca Feeken – Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes from Spellbinders. You can see the whole collection here, it is beautiful! Today I am sharing 2 of the die sets with you: Birthday Wishes and Heartfelt Thanks.

Let’s begin with the Birthday Wishes card. This die is larger, so I created a 5 x 7 card. I had a lot of fun creating this size card! To begin I started by die cutting the other section of the die. I used the 2 dies to create the outer die cut section. I taped these down onto my paper and ran them through my Spellbinders Platinum machine. I ran these through and cut this 2 times using both white card stock and a teal color card stock as well. I then worked on the next section of the die, the middle sentiment section. I followed the same process, die cutting this 2 times. I then adhered the 2 layers together on both sections (outer/inner section). I also die cut several flowers, leaves, and floral centers using the Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Dies. Once everything was die cut it was time to create my card.

I chose apiece of card stock for my base layer and then started to create my card. I started by gluing the outer white die cut to the blue card stock. I then used the blue die cuts to create an inlay pattern inside the white die cut panel. Then I glued the middle birthday sentiment inside. I then determined placement for the flowers and leaves. Once I had these placed I adhered them to my card. Finally I glue the blue panel onto my card base and added a few sequins for added interest!

For my second card I am using the beautiful new Heartfelt Thanks die. Using this beautiful die cut I created an A2 card. I followed the same process for this card as I shared above. For this card I chose a navy blue and pink color scheme.
