Be Bold Color Block – Love You: Spellbinders

Hi Crafty Friends! I hope your week is going well! I wanted to stop in and share a card I created using the beautiful new Be Bold Color Block – Love you Die set! This die set is a part of the Be Bold Color Block words collection! Be sure to check out this collection here, it is awesome! You can create bold, colorful cards easily! I had a lot of fun! So let’s get started!

For today’s card I started with the large plate with the die cut – LOVE. I ran this through my Spellbinders Platinum machine 3 times using 3 different card stocks. The final layer of the word LOVE uses Color Essentials Card Stock – Variety Pack. Once these were die cut I adhered these together using a glue stick. I then set these aside to begin to work on the background, as well as die cuts for embellishments.

I love these bold layers and wanted to create some texture behind the letters. To create the texture I used the Simply Perfect Florets Embossing folder from Spellbinders. I used a piece of Neenah 80lb. card stock and ran this through my Platinum machine. I then adhered the LOVE die cuts on top of the embossed background. I adhered these using liquid glue. These die cuts are designed to adhere perfectly for an A2 panel, super easy, dramatic, and beautiful!

Next I die cut the word – you included in the Love you set. I die cut this 3 times using white card stock, as well as a matte gold card stock. I then adhered these together. I wanted to add a bit more interest to my card. Next I used the Mini Blooms and Sprigs dies to add some flowers and leaves. I die cut these using both white card stock, as well as a matte gold. To complete my card I used liquid adhesive to adhere the word you, as well as the flower and leaf die cuts. Finally I added a few gems to the center of the flower die cuts.
