Alex Syberia Designs “Sunkissed Memories” June Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello everyone! I am super excited to join in today with Alex Syberia and her AMAZING new release – Sunkissed Memories! We are celebrating the new release with a blog hop! For today’s project I am using the beautiful Tulip Treasure stamp and die set. This stamp and die set, also has a coordinating layering stencil, as well as a foil die set for each flower image! I will be using the layering stencil set for an upcoming post as well. I started by stamping the large tulip image in the set onto a piece of Bristol Smooth paper. I stamped the image in Versafine Ink and then heat set the image using clear embossing powder. I then colored the tulip image using my Zig brush markers. This set was so much fun to color!

When working with my zig markers I color in layers, adding small amounts of water with my water brush, apply the color directly to the image and/or my glass mat. I then allow each layer to dry before adding more color. I continued to follow this process until I had the colors and depth I was looking for.

Once my image was complete, I die cut the tulip image using the coordinating die set. I then set the floral aside to work on my background for my card. I chose a pre-made background from my stash with coordinating colors. I loved the added texture the background gives to the flower. I then ran the background through my die cutting machine using the new Meadow Magic Cover die. This background plate is so pretty and added such fun texture to my colorful background.

Next I started to work on card assembly. I started by adhering a piece of navy blue card stock onto an A2 card base. Next I trimmed my colorful panel down using my Tim Holtz deckle edge trimmer. I distressed the edges a bit more using my distress tool and then added distress ink to the edges for added depth. I then adhered this to my card front. I added a strip of pattern paper to the card front for added interest, then adhered the flower using foam tape.

I chose the Thinking of you Sentiment from the Tulip Treasure stamp set. I die cut the sentiment 3x and then adhered each layer together with liquid glue. I had so much fun creating with the Tulip Treasure stamp set!
