Alex Syberia Designs May Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello Crafty friends! I am excited to be back today to share the AMAZING and beautiful new release with Alex Syberia Designs! Today we are celebrating Alex Syberia Designs May Release with an AMAZING blog hop! I know you are going to be so excited to see the release, as well as see all the inspiration! I will share all the hop details below, as well as the giveaway details! The May release is truly amazing and I am so excited to be here today! Today I am sharing the beautiful Mysterious Petals Die set, paired with a sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp and die set. I started by die cutting the florals and leaves from the die set! This set is so cool and truly designed so well and it is truly so easy to use! Each die cuts all the pieces for the one floral. I die cut 3 of each floral using 3 separate colors of card stock.

Once all the layers were die cut, I added Distress Oxide Inks to all the floral layers. I used: Picked Raspberry, Peacock feathers, Forest Moss, Chipped Sapphire, Wild Honey, and Seedless Preserves. I also added water droplets to each layer to add a bit more texture to each layer.

Once all the layers were inked up, I die cut the main stem/leaves using white and a navy cardstock. Next I adhered each of the florals with liquid glue. The die set comes with a guide on the back of the set. The guide tells/shows you how to layer each floral. They are so easy to do! I continued to build all the layers until they were all complete and adhered.

*** Tip: As I die cut each floral, I separated them on my desk by each flower. This was so helpful as I put the flowers together. I found this helpful since I die cut 3 of each flower using different colors!

Next I started to work on my background for my floral die. I created the background using Distress Mica Stains. I used the following colors: Decayed, Winterberry, and Flickering Candle. Once the background was created, I trimmed the background panel using my Deckle Trimmer. I then inked up the edges with Ground Espresso ink. I then adhered the panel to a top folding card base.

I completed my card by adhering the floral onto the card panel using liquid glue and foam tape. I then stamped and heat embossed my sentiment onto black cardstock. The sentiment is from the new Beautiful Day stamp set. I then die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die.
