For today’s project I am using the beautiful Life is Good stamp set, as well as the Fancy Cover die! I started by stamping the large floral image onto Canson watercolor paper. I stamped the image and then heat set using clear embossing powder. I colored the image using watercolor pencils. I worked in layers, coloring from lightest to darkest, allowing each layer to dry in-between. Once the floral was complete, I die cut the image using the coordinating die.

Next I chose a pre-made background from stash. I die cut the background using the Fancy Cover die. I then chose a coordinating purple piece of cardstock and adhered this to the back of the die cut panel. I distressed the edges of the panel and added ink to the edges for a distress look.

Next I added a few metallic splatters to my floral piece. Once dried, I applied foam tape to the back of the floral image. Then I stamped the sentiment Life is Good from the stamp set onto a scrap piece of a gelli print. I stamped the image and heat set using clear embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. To complete my card I adhered the panel onto an A2 card base and attached the sentiment and floral image as well. I had so much fun creating using these amazing new release sets from Alex!
