Born to Sparkle – Day 1 Blog Hop: Simon Says Stamp

For today’s card I am using the gorgeous new Magnolia Branches embossing folder! I am so excited for this gorgeous folder. The details in this folder are so BEAUTIFUL and the the 3D effects are just stunning! I started with a piece of Simon Says Stamp Cotton candy card stock. I started by trimming the card stock to an A2 sized panel. I then lightly misted the front and back of the card stock, then placed it inside my embossing folder. Then I ran the folder through my Spellbinders Platinum machine. I have found it best to lightly mist each side of the card stock prior to running it through the machine, it gives the best results! Check out the beautiful details from this folder – I love it!

I wanted to highlight the details in this folder and to show the elegance of these beautiful flowers! I used Simon Says Stamp Pigment Ink in white to highlight various sections of the folder. I gently applied the white ink to the raised areas of the embossing folder using my blending brush. I used a light hand for this to keep the ink on top of the raised areas. I love the added white against the pink! I hope you like it too! I set this panel aside to dry and once it was dry I adhered this to an A2 card base.

To complete the card I chose a sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 stamp set – I love these large greetings! This stamp set also has an available die set! I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock using my WOW embossing ink pad using my Misti stamping platform. I then heat embossed the sentiment using WOW metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. I adhered the sentiment using foam tape to the front panel. I added a few sequins for added embellishment!
