Hello Crafty friends I am so excited to join Hero Arts this month for their release of the January Hero Arts 2024 My Monthly Hero Kit and add-on release! This month’s release is amazing and it is all about a way to express love, friendship, and joy to your loved ones! I am excited to be hopping this month, you will find all the details for the hop listed below. Today I am sharing inspiration using the Premium Kit! So let’s get started!
I started with Dove White Cardstock to create the panel using the stencils included in the kit! This stencil is so incredibly beautiful and so detailed! I started by ink blending using Core Inks in: Soft Blossom, Azalea, Soft Olive, Moss, Summer Sky, Raspberry Jam, Cup of Joe, and Nautical. Once all the layers were complete I die cut the panel using the Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle die set.
Next I die cut the heart (from the kit). I then darkened the edges of the rectangle panel and the heart using Caramel Core Ink using a finger dauber. I then adhered the rectangle panel onto an A2 card base using Hero Arts Precision glue. I popped up the heart using foam tape and adhered this to the center of the card panel.
Next I die cut the word LOVE using the included die out of Dove White card stock. I adhered this together with Precision Glue, then adhered this to my card panel/base. I had a few flowers and leaves left over from my previous card I shared this weekend on my countdown post. I adhered these using liquid glue and foam tape. I had so much fun with this kit! This kit is perfect to use all year long and to share love with family, as well as friends!
For my next project I focused on using the AMAZING Valentine Wreath Bundle set. I had so much fun creating a mixed media inspired tag for a loved one using this beautiful new set! I started with a piece of Hero Arts watercolor paper. I trimmed the panel down using the Hero Arts tag die set. Next I started to ink the background using Reactive Inks in: Lemon Drop, Pool Party, and Thistle. I start by applying ink to my work surface, spritzing it with water, then drying with a heat tool, adding water droplets, and picking up color with a paper towel. I repeat this process until I have the color and texture I am looking for. Once the background was dry, I stamped the new Ode to Andy Warhol Script bold prints across the tag in random areas, using taco stamping with Onyx Pigment Ink. I darkened the edges using Pitch Black core ink.
Next I stamped the new Valentine Wreath stamp onto Pitch Black cardstock using embossing watermark ink. I then applied Hero Arts Iridescent Purple embossing powder and heat set the wreath using my heat tool. The shine on this powder is so beautiful! I then die cut the wreath using coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment from the set onto an extra piece of background panel from my tag die cut and then added gold wax around the stamped sentiment.
Next I die cut 3 hearts using the Nesting Heart die set. I also stamped and heat embossed some leaves and an extra floral from the Valentine Wreath Bundle set, stamped onto Pitch Black card stock and embossed them with Iridescent Purple embossing powder. I die cut these with coordinating dies.
I completed the tag by adhering all the layers together onto the tag using Precision glue and foam tape. I had a lot of fun using the new Valentine Wreath Bundle set!

Hello Crafty friends! I am super excited to join Hero Arts today for the Countdown to the January 2024 My Monthly Hero kit (and add-on products)! We are celebrating this weekend with a three day countdown sharing beautiful inspiration all weekend using the Classic and Premium Kits before the release on Monday January 8. For today’s card I am sharing an idea using the January 2024 Premium kit, so let’s get started!
For today’s card I started with Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. I die cut the florals and leaves from this kit using this card stock, I then used Hero Arts Core Inks to ink blend my flowers and leaves! I used: Azalea, Summer Sky, Moss, Cup of Joe, and Raspberry Jam. I used the Cup of Joe and Raspberry Jam to darken sections of the leaves, flowers, and edges. Once my ink blending was complete I used Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink to add splatters to all my die cuts and set them aside to dry.
Next I trimmed a piece of Nautical cardstock into an A2 sized panel. Along the background panel I used a stamp from the kit to create a pattern and texture using Embossing and Watermark ink. I love the subtle texture! I then die cut the center using a die from the kit. Next I darkened the panel using Grape Juice Core Ink using a blending brush. I then added the Gold Metallic splatters to the background and set it aside to dry. Next I added Gold Flakes with the Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Pen to sections of the center die cut. I love the added texture these flakes provide! It is so pretty!
Next I used a piece of watercolor paper included in the kit to create an ink smooshed background using Reactive Inks. I love playing with these inks and seeing the colors and textures come to life! I used: Pool Party, Blue Raspberry, Blue Hawaii, Root Beer, and Licorice. I created an ink smooshed background by placing the ink on my work surface, spritzing with water, dipping the paper, drying with my heat tool, then continuing the process until I had the colors and texture I was looking for.
I adhered all the layers together using a combination of Hero Arts Precision glue and foam tape. I added my sentiment from the kit onto Nautical cardstock with Gold Embossing Powder. I trimmed the sentiment using a die from the kit. I also added a few Hero Pearls to the center of some of the florals in the color Gold.
