Notable Ink – New Release (Amber Rain Davis)

Hi Crafty Friends! I am SUPER EXCITED to be back today to celebrate the Spring Release for Amber Rain Davis of Notable Ink! I have admired Amber’s work for awhile now! Her eye for color, design, and card making is truly amazing! She first caught my eye with her gorgeous coloring and recently with her journal pages, as well as gel printables! Today we are celebrating her new spring release! I am so excited for Amber and truly had a blast creating with her stamps! In her latest release she has clear stamp sets, as well as digital sets! There is truly something for everyone! On her website she also has gel printables – they are TRULY AMAZING and I love each one! To celebrate today we are having a blog hop with beautiful inspiration showing ways to use these gorgeous new sets! To help celebrate there is also a giveaway to Amber’s shop! All the details are listed below, as well as the blog hop order! So let’s get started!

For my first project I am sharing a card I created using 3 of Notable Inks new clear stamp sets! Just as a reminder these sets are available as clear stamp sets, as well as digital sets! I have included all the links below. I am using the new Tangle Rounds, Note to Self, and Fanciful Flora stamp sets. For my card I started with a gel printable background. These are truly so beautiful and so easy to use! Once you have these printed you are ready to go and have beautiful backgrounds for your cards! I started by choosing my gel printable and I then cut it down using a rectangle die. I then adhered this to a piece of card stock. I then added a bit of distressing to the edges using my Tim Holtz distress tool. Next I chose a stencil and applied modeling paste through the stencil in various places and set it aside to dry.

Then I started to work on my images. I stamped all of the images onto Fabriano Hot press watercolor card. I used Versafine ink and heat set them using WOW Clear embossing powder. I then started to color all of my stamped images. I used my Karin markers and allowed each layer to dry before adding more color.

Once all of my images were dry I trimmed them using my scan and cut. The Tangle Rounds images I used a circle die to trim them. I set my floral images aside once cut and then applied Tim Holtz Mica Spray to the Tangle round images.

I then added some more metallic watercolor splatter to my gelli print background and then adhered this to my card case. I chose sentiments from the Note to Self stamp set. I stamped these on Kraft card stock and added some archival ink to the edges for some added texture. I then adhered my images to my card panel using liquid glue and foam tape!

I had so much fun with these sets! They are truly GORGEOUS and so fun to work with!

For my second project I wanted to work in my journal. These stamps are just so fun and easy to use! They are perfect for card making, plus working in your journal! On my journal I used Gel Printables, Note To Self, Tangle Rounds, Art Journal Notes, as well as Fanciful Flora.

I started by choosing my gel printable, I then cut it down to size and adhered it on the next clean page in my journal. Next I stamped the Note to Self on Kraft cardstock. I used this for both sentiment strips and the bottom left corner in my journal page. I set a few sentiments aside and then adhered the section on the bottom left using a gel medium. I also tore some gel printables and adhered them to the journal page, as well as added some washi tape for added interest.

Next I stamped all of my images onto Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor card and heat set them using clear embossing powder. I then colored all of my images using my Karin markers. Once everything was colored, I trimmed these using my scan and cut . On the Tangle Rounds I wanted to added more color and chose several colors of Lindy’s Gang Starburst Sprays: Sea Mint Green, Cactus Gold, and Tea Pot Purple.

I added a bit more texture to my journal background using a stencil and modeling paste. I then carefully adhered my images using liquid glue. I completed the journal page with my sentiments. I used sentiments from both sets: Note to Self, as well as Art Journal Notes.
