Bloom and Evolve – Unity Stamp Company Kit of Month

Hi Crafty friends! I am super excited to be back today to share a new Unity Stamp Company Membership post using the January Kit of the Month – Bloom and Evolve! I had a lot of fun creating today’s tags! I started creating my tags using several pre-made backgrounds from my stash! I love creating backgrounds using a variety of mediums, sprays, oxide inks, my gelli plate, and more! I selected a couple of backgrounds and then die cut 2 tags using the Make a tag die set from Unity Stamp Company. Once my tags were die cut, I added texture to the backgrounds using a couple of stamp sets: Time to be Happy Again and Thoughts from the past. I used dye based ink to add stamping to my tags. I love the added texture this provides. Once the stamping was complete, I added a bit of Embossing Glaze to sections of the tag using Salvage Patina Embossing Glaze. I added a bit of distress ink using my blending tool to the edges, white splatters, and then set the tags aside.

Next I chose the sweet birds from the Bloom and Evolve Kit of the Month and stamped the birds onto 2 pre-cut heart die cuts. I stamped the birds using Gina K Amalgam Ink. I then added a bit of distress ink in Walnut Stain to the edges, as well as some Foundry Wax for added texture to each heart.

Next I stamped 2 sentiments from the Bloom and Evolve kit, trimmed the sentiments and added Walnut stain to the sentiment strip for added texture.

I completed the tags by adhering the elements together, using foam tape, and liquid glue. I added a bit more interest using May Arts Twine, buttons, and moss.
