Hello Crafty friends, I am super excited to join Alex Syberia Designs for her August Release! I had a lot of fun working with Alexs’ stamps, dies, as well as stencils! For today’s project I am sharing the new stamp set – Special Delivery. I paired these with Postages Stamps Cover Die, as well as the Postage Stamps stencil. I started with a piece of Neenah cardstock with the Postage Stamps stencil and my distress oxide inks. I created 4 rectangle blends using the stencil. Once my ink blending was complete, I trimmed the 4 rectangles using my paper trimmer. I then stamped the images from the Special Delivery stamp set onto each of the rectangles. I then trimmed each of the panels using my deckle trimmer and then darkened the edges using Distress Ink. I added extra cardstock behind each layer for added dimension. I set these aside.
Next I used the Postage Stamps Cover Die. I die cut the panel 3 times and then adhered all the layers together using liquid glue. Next I added texture to the background using a combination of mediums. I used Distress Inks, Distress Paint, as well as Foundry wax to create a rustic feel on the panel.
Once the cover die panel was complete, I adhered this to a top folding card base. I then added the 4 postage stamps to the front of the card panel using liquid glue. I had a lot of fun creating this card and this set has so many possibilities!
