Hello Beautiful Release Blog Hop: Day 2 – Simon Says Stamp

Hi crafty friends!

For today’s card I am using the ADORABLE new stamp set Bunny Blessings! I love all the adorable stamped images in this new set! The bunnies are so cute! The stamp set has so many awesome images to create a fun and adorable scene! For today’s card, I chose to use several stamps from this kit, along with other beautiful products from Simon Says Stamp to create a beautiful Easter card! So let’s get started!

I started by stamping several images from Bunny Blessings on Arches Cold press watercolor card. I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed them using clear embossing powder. I knew I wanted to watercolor these cuties! I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors on my stamped images. I work in layers when watercoloring and allow each layer to dry in between. Once everything was dry I fussy cut these images. I then set these aside and began to work on my card background/panel.

For the background I chose a piece of pattern paper from my stash, (Simon Says Stamp card kit paper pack). I love the watercolor look of the floral images on this paper. I trimmed down the paper using a stitched rectangle die.

To add more dimension and interest to my card I chose the beautiful Eucalyptus Die from Simon Says stamp. I die cut this several times out of white card stock. I then added a bit of watercolor splatter to the leaves for added color. Then I created a watercolor background to place in the center of my card. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors mixing several shades together. I then die cut this using a stitched circle die.

I chose a sentiment from the Bunny Blessings stamp set and heat set this using white embossing Powder. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to my card, I added some glue to several embellishments and added Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Confetti Glitter. (I love the this sparkly glitter so much!)
